  Kilimanjaro 2007-Toronto Star article

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

~ Marianne Wilson

Spring Climbs

In spring 2007, students climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa's tallest mountain and one of the world's seven tallest peaks, and volunteered with community service projects in Kenya.

The following climbs were organized:

  1. St. John's School (Vancouver, BC) climb
  2. Canadian and US high school student climb

In addition, Crescent School, Toronto, also organized a climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and undertook a community service project.

The students raised over $200,000 in support of school projects in East Africa! For a sense of the March 2007 trip, please see the article in The Toronto Star, one of Canada's leading dailies.

In Fall/Winter/Spring 2007-2008, we will have a series of three-week trips to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. The trip consists of a seven-day climb to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, a three day safari in the finest game parks in the world in Tanzania, and a week living in a local community in Tanzania and helping with school development projecs at benificiary schools.
